CECAM & ESI (the Erwin Schrödinger Institute for Mathematics and Physics) have signed a collaboration agreement for at least 4 years.

Both institutions host extensive workshop programs: CECAM workshops primarily focus on advanced computational methods and their application in science and technology, while ESI workshops cover diverse areas across mathematics and physics. The objective of this collaboration is to organize an annual joint workshop on a topic that aligns with the scientific interests of both institutions.

A joint workshop will be held each year, alternating between the ESI in Vienna and CECAM headquarters in Lausanne or one of its nodes. The first call is scheduled for summer 2025, with the inaugural workshop planned for 2026.

This collaboration also aims to enhance the visibility of ESI and CECAM activities among new scientific communities, fostering communication and collaboration across disciplines.
