Challenges and opportunities in non-equilibrium soft matter
Location: Mont Sant Benet, Spain
Organisers
In this workshop, we will address current advances and main challenges in open and striving areas of soft matter out of equilibrium. The workshop is structured around 5 main topics:
- Machine Learning and Statistical Physics
- Machinery of life
- Ultra-confined flows
- Multivalency, information & entropy
- Sustainability
We are planning to schedule a few invited lectures on each of these topics that will provide a vision on challenges and opportunities in the field. We will combine the lectures with brainstorming session discussing original and/or controversial scientific topics. We hope to keep the spirit of an exciting scientific program but with a relaxed and informal atmosphere that will put emphasis on open, unstructured, and informal discussions.
The workshop will start on September 24th at lunch time and will end on Wednesday 27th, also at lunch time
