CCP5 Summer School 2018
University of Lancaster
Registration is not open!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please register via the CCP5 Summer School web page not CECAM.
The school provides training to PhD student level researchers in the fields of statistical mechanics, quantum mechanics, molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo simulation through a combination of lectures, workshops and student led discussions. The school aims predominantly at first year PhDs from a diverse range of backgrounds with the aim of giving them the skills and insights required to carry out research in the area of molecular and solid state simulations. This year the students will also attend a short introductory workshop on scientific programming to help those among them without pre-knowledge on programming to take full advantage of the practical sessions. The school provides also training on advance modelling techniques and mesoscopic modelling with advance courses on free energy calculations, hyperdynamics, optimization methods, Dissipative Particle Dynamics and Lattice Boltzmann.
