COST Action COSY Workshop on Molecular Dynamics in Confined Environments: Advances in Simulations, Methods, and Models
Location: CECAM-HQ-EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland
Organisers
This Workshop of the Working Group 2 of COST Action COSY aims to bring together leading experts in theoretical and computational physical chemistry to exchange ideas and insights necessary for understanding the dynamical phenomena occurring in complex systems. These systems may include those with enclosing molecular cages, surfaces, and interfaces, as well as molecules confined by electromagnetic fields. The workshop will focus on systems described by classical, quantum, and mixed quantum-classical dynamics, as well as other systems requiring simulations across multiple scales. It will highlight the latest results from participants of the COSY COST Action, particularly those from Working Group 2.
The workshop aims to foster active scientific exchange, stimulate interdisciplinary dialogue, and strengthen collaboration within the COSY network. We encourage young researchers, including PhD students and postdoctoral researchers working on quantum and classical molecular dynamics in confined environments—including those studying systems influenced by electromagnetic fields—to apply.
This workshop is co-organized by COST Action CA21101 (https://cost-cosy.eu/), supported by COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology, https://www.cost.eu/).
