Mesoscale methods for colloidal hydrodynamics
Location: CECAM-EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland
Organisers
The topic of mesoscale methods for colloidal hydrodynamics is rapidly developing and a variety of techniques have been developed recently[1-13]. The goals of this workshop are
• to review various techniques for colloidal hydrodynamics and discuss the drawback and limitations of these methods.
• to discuss and work out algorithmic and conceptual issues such as stick/slip boundary conditions, finite-size effects, charges, particle shape, parallelising these codes, the use of graphical processing units (GPU's) etc....
• to bring together experimentalists, theorists, and simulators working on colloidal hydrodynamics in order to foster new collaborations.
