Multiscale Simulations of Soft Matter with Hands-On Tutorials on ESPResSo++ and VOTCA
Location: Schloss Waldthausen, Mainz, Germany
Organisers
The aim of the school is to provide an overview of some of the powerful computational methodologies available to bridge time and length scales in soft matter/biophysics. The first part of the school will be focused on tutorials of the ESPRESSO++ and VOTCA software packages as well as coarse graining techniques. The second part of the school will cover a relatively broad range of topics including: kinetics and markov state models, simulation of rare events, modelling of interfaces, particle-continuum simulation methods. The school is co-organized by the integrated research training group of the Collaborative Research Center 146 "Multiscale Simulation Methods in Soft Matter Physics" (CRC146 https://trr146.de).
Registration to the school is free and includes meals and accommodation. The attendees are required to take care of their travel costs. Please use the cecam web interface to register. The expected number of attendees is 30. The registration is on a first-come-first-served basis, so please register as soon as possible to guarantee a place. A confirmation will be sent within few days from registration. No registration will be accepted after 9.9.2016.
We invite the attendees to submit an abstract for the poster session. Two abstracts will be selected for an oral presentation during the school.
