On August 31 and September 1, 2014, an international workshop will take place in Pisa to celebrate Jacopo Tomasi and his work, on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
The workshop “Solutions for Solvation” is organized in three sessions, which will be held in three different locations: the Scuola Normale Superiore (SNS), the Department of Chemistry of the University of Pisa (DCCI) and the National Research Council (CNR).
The invited speakers are Carlo Adamo, Manuel Aguilar, Xavier Assfeld, Eric Cancès, Marco Caricato, Carles Curutchet, Denis Jacquemin, Johannes Neugebauer, Modesto Orozco, Michele Parrinello, Maria João Ramos, Nadia Rega and Kenneth Ruud.
In addition, a session will be focused on contributed talks given by younger researchers who represent the direct continuation of Tomasi’s work in the development of continuum solvation models.
The participation to the workshop is free.

Please notice that the maximum number of allowed participants is strictly limited to 100. The participants will be chosen on a "first-come, first served" basis.
